What's inside

Service log

One row per visit: service, price, cash tips, card or app tips, retail sales, payment method, new client and whether they rebooked.

Rent and commission

Weekly or monthly booth or suite rent, plus any commission the salon keeps. Each lands on its own Schedule C line.

Expenses and mileage

Supplies and color, tools, licenses, education, insurance, booking software, card fees, laundry and more, each mapped to Schedule C. Miles for house calls and supply runs.

Take-home dashboard

Income, tips, rent, other costs, a tax set-aside and take-home pay for every month, with two charts.

Clients and rebooking

Visits, new clients and your rebook rate against your goal. Average ticket, average tip, revenue by service and visits needed to cover rent.

Quarterly taxes and 1099-K

A suggested federal payment for each 2027 due date, a 1099-K check for card and app payments, and a Schedule C summary.

The take-home dashboard

Every month: what came in, what went to rent, costs and taxes, and what's yours. This is a real screenshot with the included sample data.

Every visit, every tip

Tips are taxable income, so the service log keeps cash tips and card or app tips in their own columns. A few minutes at the end of the day is all it takes.

Know your rebook rate

Mark whether each client booked again before leaving. The tracker shows your rebook rate by month against the goal you set, plus new clients and average ticket.

Good to know

  • Two .xlsx files, one with sample data and one blank, plus a 2-page PDF quick start guide. They open in Excel or import into Google Sheets.
  • Tips are taxable income. A federal deduction for qualified tips (2025 through 2028) covers beauty pros, with limits for the self-employed. The tracker leaves it out unless you turn it on, so your set-aside errs on the high side.
  • The 2027 Social Security wage base ($192,300) is official. Brackets, the standard deduction and the mileage rate use 2026 IRS figures until the 2027 numbers are out, and you get the updated file free.
  • Built for U.S. booth and suite renters who file Schedule C. Not for W-2 salon employees. It doesn't book appointments or track sales tax.
  • It's a record-keeping and planning tool, not tax advice.
